Frequently Asked Questions

Q:  Where does Toll Brothers have offices?

A:    Corporate headquarters are outside of Philadelphia in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania (Montgomery County).  Other division offices are in Scottsdale, Arizona (Geoffrey Edmunds & Associates); Orange and San Ramon, California; Delray Beach and Bonita Springs, Florida; Chicago, Illinois; North Potomac, Maryland;  Wayland, Massachusetts; Detroit, Michigan; Farmington Hills, Michigan; Las Vegas, Nevada; Clinton, New Jersey; Armonk, New York; Charlotte and Raleigh North Carolina; Columbus, Ohio; Glen Mills, Downingtown, and Morrisville, Pennsylvania; Nashville, Tennessee; Austin and Dallas, Texas; and Dulles, Virginia.

Q:  Does Toll Brothers do anything else other than building luxury homes?

A:    Yes.  Toll Brothers, Inc. is a national, multi-faceted real estate development corporation.  We have our own in-house engineering, architecture, mortgage, telecommunications, title insurance, insurance brokerage, landscape, component assembly, and manufacturing operations.  We have career opportunities available in all areas of real estate, including commercial, country club, and apartment development.  We are also pursuing many other ancillary businesses that are synergistic to our core real estate business.

Q:  What separates Toll Brothers from the other national homebuilders?

A:  Toll Brothers is a large, national homebuilder (top 10 in the nation by revenue).  Many national builders are unit driven; they focus on how many homes they can build, and how fast build them.  They compensate for slim profit margins by building in large volume.  At Toll Brothers, on the other hand, the emphasis is on quality and profitability.  We focus on the luxury move-up and empty nester markets, and have established ourselves as the dominant builder in this niche.  Our average home price of $516,000 is twice the average home prices of the rest of the top 10 builders, and our profit margins are the highest of all construction and engineering companies in the Fortune 1000.  Focusing on the high end is beneficial to our profitability, and it is also very gratifying to our employees.  Many of our Project Managers and Construction Managers have had previous stints with other national homebuilders.  They flourish at Toll Brothers because they have the luxury of being able to get away from the "cookie cutter" mentality by building dream homes.
